Custom cleaning services in Auckland, scoped around your property
Plenty of jobs don’t sit neatly inside a package. A renovation that has left dust in every room. A three-bedroom house where only the kitchen and one bathroom need doing. A property being prepared for photography on Thursday. We scope those individually and quote on what’s actually there.

The jobs that end up here
Post-renovation and builders’ cleans are the most common. Fine plaster dust travels through a whole house and settles on every horizontal surface, inside cupboards and into carpet, and it comes back twice more as the air settles. Those jobs are done in stages: the rough clean, then the detail clean once the dust has dropped, then the final wipe-through before handover.
Pre-sale cleans are the next biggest group. Auckland listings live or die on the photos and the first open home, and a house that has been properly cleaned before the photographer arrives shows better than one styled over grime. That usually means the standard house clean plus interior windows, carpets, and often the outside areas so the exterior shots hold up.
The rest is genuinely varied: spring cleans, cleaning out a house after a relative has moved into care, getting a long-empty rental habitable again, garages and storage rooms, cleaning after a burst pipe or a small fire has been made safe, or a standing clean of just the bathrooms in a flat where the rest is shared.
How we scope and quote
We ask what the property is, what state it’s in, which rooms and tasks matter, and when it has to be done by. For anything large or unusual we look at it in person, because a photo of a room doesn’t show how heavy the build-up on a benchtop is or how far dust has travelled through a cupboard.
What you get back is a plan: what’s included, what isn’t, how long it should take and how many people we’ll bring. Jobs on a hard deadline get more of a crew, because two cleaners for six hours and six for two are the same amount of work but only one of them fits before the photographer.
We’ll also say when something is outside cleaning. A stained ceiling that needs sealing and painting, mould that has gone into the gib rather than sitting on the surface, a bench that has been burnt through the laminate — those need a trade, and telling you that at the quote is more use than discovering it on the day the job was meant to be finished.
Mixing services into one booking
Custom is also how our services get combined. A pre-sale package might be a full house clean plus carpet extraction plus a lawn tidy. A landlord between tenancies might want the end of tenancy clean, the carpets and the garden in a single visit and a single invoice. A host getting a holiday home ready for summer might want the turnover clean plus upholstery and the car in the garage done at the same time.
One booking means one crew, one arrival time, and jobs done in an order that makes sense — carpets after the clean, not before; the lawn before the windows, not after. Splitting that across three companies is how people end up with a vacuumed floor covered in grass clippings.
The parts that don’t change
However unusual the job, the basics hold. Every cleaner is police-vetted, Tidy Kiwi is fully insured, we arrive when we said we would, and the 100% satisfaction guarantee applies — if something isn’t right we come back and put it right.
We’re locally owned and operated from Sandringham and work Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm, right across Auckland. If you’re not sure whether something is a job we do, ask. The answer is usually yes, and when it isn’t we’ll tell you who to call instead.

Questions about custom cleaning
- Do you do post-renovation and builders’ cleans?
- Yes, and we plan them in stages. Construction dust keeps settling for days, so a single pass on the last day of the build never holds. A rough clean, a detail clean once the air has settled and a final wipe-through before handover is what actually works.
- Can I book a clean for just some of the rooms?
- You can. Plenty of clients have us do the kitchen and bathrooms only, or everything except the bedrooms. We scope and quote on what you actually want cleaned rather than on the size of the house.
- Can you combine several services in one visit?
- That’s a lot of what custom is. House clean plus carpets, end of tenancy plus the garden, turnover plus upholstery — one crew, one arrival, one invoice, and the tasks sequenced so nothing gets undone by the next job.
- How do you quote a job that isn’t standard?
- We look at it first, in person for anything large or unusual, then give you a scope and a quote covering what’s included, how long it should take and how many cleaners we’ll bring. No guessing from a photo.
