We size the team to the house — two or three cleaners in one visit rather than one person stretched across a day — so the last bathroom gets the same attention as the first.

Materials are part of it too. Wool carpet, timber floors, marble and limestone in the bathrooms and engineered stone in the kitchen all want different products, and a general-purpose spray on a natural stone benchtop will etch it. We work pH-neutral where the surface calls for it and keep the aggressive products for the tiles and the oven.

Set the schedule and forget it

Most Remuera households book weekly or fortnightly and stay on it for years. You get the same team, the same day, access by key or code, and a scope we agree once and then hold to — including the things that are easy to skip, like the inside of the oven or the top of the fridge, on a rotation.
